Cristiano Ronaldo has blasted Manchester United for their performance even though they beat Juventus 2-1 in a Champions Leagueencounter on Wednesday, November 7.

After a goalless first half Ronaldo gave Juventus the lead in the 65th minute with a well struck volley before Manchester United clawed their way to the game through a free kick by Juan Mata in the 86th minute with a Leonardo Bonucci own goal.

Despite his side suffering their first defeat of the season, Ronaldo was more worried with the tactics deployed by his former side as the Premier League giants recorded a much needed win.

In an interview with Viasport, Ronaldo was not satisfied with the result as he blamed luck and insisted that Manchester United could have suffered a very heavy defeat.

Ronaldo who moved to Juventus from Real Madrid was of the opinion that Jose Mourinho’s team did not merit the victory based on their performance.

He said, "I was happy with the goal but we are disappointed because we should win the game easily, by three or four goals.

"Manchester didn't do much, they created two chances from set pieces. English teams are always looking for set pieces.”

Ronaldo, however, shifted focus to their remaining group fixtures as he insisted that his team can qualify from the group as they continue their quest for another place in the final.

He said, "But we will learn from our mistakes and we are still top of the group and we are good."

"It is too early. We have to take it step by step.

"We are a good team but it is a long way to the final. These people and the club dream of winning the Champions League but we take it step by step."

Ronado and his Juventus teammates return to action when they travel to face AC Milan in their next Serie A fixture scheduled for Sunday, November 11.
